Over 70 pickleball players came together recently for the 2018 Pickleball for Hospice tournament and raised over $10,000 to support the ongoing operational needs of the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
The event, held at the St. Clair College HealthPlex, included clinics for players, a skills tournament and a Play a Pro event. The funds were raised from generous sponors, entry fees and raffle draws.
“I am so grateful to the CK Pickleball club, the tournament organizing committee and to the many sponsors of the Pickleball for Hospice event. Their thoughtfulness will directly benefit local families who will call Hospice home,” said Jodi Maroney – Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
