Hospice thankful for Specialized Equipment Purchase

Chatham-Kent Hospice recently received funding to purchase specialized patient transfer sheets.  The transfer sheet is a repositioning and lifting sheet used with our ceiling-mounted lift to support the resident and staff with positioning and transfers in a safe manner. With donations from the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors, Corteva Agriscience and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 642, six transfer sheets were purchased.

“Thank you very much to the donors for this generous donation. Knowing we can safely assist our residents who are highly dependent and bed bound not only brings comfort to the resident but also to their family and it is a great support to our staff” shared Maureen Eyres, Chatham-Kent Hospice Care Manager.
