Sold-Out Gala Raises Over $182K to Support Hospice Care for Local Families

On Friday, October 24th, the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation celebrated its 8th Annual Benefit Gala, raising an impressive $182,171 , including a $30,000 night-of donation, to fund vital end-of-life care services in Chatham-Kent.

This sold-out event provided attendees with an unforgettable evening of gourmet dining, exciting auction experiences, and an emotional account from a local family sharing their journey with Chatham-Kent Hospice.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us and to our generous sponsors, particularly our Title Sponsor, Victory Lincoln,” said Marian Redford, Chair of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation Board of Directors. “Your incredible support ensures that local families continue to receive vital residential hospice care, grief support, and care navigation at no cost to them. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our guest speaker, who kindly shared their family’s experience, helping us all understand the profound impact your contributions have.”

The night’s excitement was amplified by the Golden Ticket raffle, which offered 100 lucky guests the chance to win an exclusive experience from the silent auction and two tickets to next year’s Gala. Lisa Clement was the fortunate winner, choosing the Sweet Party Suite at a Windsor Spitfires game. The popular Mittons Jewellers Diamond Draw, featuring stunning 18K white gold, earrings set with .73cts of natural Canadian diamonds, was won by Deb Gillier.

All proceeds from the Gala will directly support the ongoing operations of Chatham-Kent’s Hospice, ensuring that families have access to compassionate end-of-life care, at no cost, during their most difficult times.
